Frequently asked

How does sign‑in work?

Doplr signs you in through Steam’s OpenID 2.0 service. You enter your password and Steam Guard code on Valve’s site, not ours. Steam returns your public profile info (Steam ID, display name, avatar) and that’s the only data we receive. We never see your password.

Why is my inventory empty after sign‑in?

Your Steam inventory privacy must be set to Public for third‑party tools (including Doplr) to read it. Open Steam → your profile → Edit Profile → Privacy Settings → Inventory: Public. Then pull to refresh inside Doplr.

Where do the prices come from?

Live prices are sourced from PriceEmpire across five marketplaces — Steam, Buff163, Skinport, CSFloat, and DMarket. You can switch between them at any time using the dropdown in the top‑right of the Dashboard or Inventory tab.

Why is my historical % change the same on every marketplace?

Daily historical price data is only published for Steam, so the period‑over‑period “Top Movers” percentages are calculated from Steam history regardless of which marketplace you have selected. The dollar prices reflect your selected marketplace; the relative percentage move is the same under the standard assumption that cross‑marketplace ratios are stable.

How do I add cost basis to track P&L?

Cost basis entry is available on the web version at doplr.co/inventory. Anything you enter there automatically syncs to the iOS app the next time you pull to refresh. Native cost‑basis editing inside the iOS app is on the roadmap.

What’s with the Armory star number?

For Armory Pass containers, the star badge represents the number of Armory stars required to redeem one drop, calculated the same way csroi.com does it: ceil(price / $0.40). The $1.60‑equivalent price you see is the implied cost per roll, not a Steam Market listing.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time, directly from inside the app:

  • iOS: Open the Profile tab → tap Delete account at the bottom → type your Steam display name to confirm.
  • Web: Click your avatar in the top-right of any page → Delete Account → type your Steam display name to confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. We erase every cost-basis lot, portfolio snapshot, and price-history record we have stored against your Steam ID. Doplr does not modify your Steam inventory itself. Signing back in with the same Steam account afterwards creates a brand-new, empty profile. Questions or trouble? privacy@doplr.co.

Is Doplr affiliated with Valve?

No. Doplr is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. CS2 and Counter‑Strike are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
